A Fellow of the Royal Society of London, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, a Guggenheim Fellow, a Fellow of the ACM, a Fellow of the IEEE, a member of the European Academy of Sciences and a life member of Sigma Xi.In 2006, Dr. Terzopoulos won an Academy Award for Technical Achievement. Has published 600+ academic papers, has been cited over 60,000 times, and has delivered 400+ talks around the world - including being keynote speaker at 100+ talks at top universities and leading companies. His research founded a whole new branch in the field of medical imaging analysis, and was widely adopted by the industry. He is also the founding editor of top academic journal Medical Image Analysis.
